Work It Towels is a San Diego, CA mother and son premium fitness towel business created to inspire every body to move. Our gym towels are incredibly soft, absorbent and motivational. We strongly believe exercise plays a significant role in maintaining positive mental health. And as such, we are donating 20% of sales from our newest collection to support ADAA's mission.
My oldest son and I started this business last year when we noticed friends using old, gross hand towels to wipe their sweat in the gym. We wanted to create something fun while providing value. At the time, Harrison was still recovering from a sports injury that left him benched for an entire season. He was devastated and a little depressed, and I knew I had to get him moving again. Exercise provided the outlet he needed to feel good. He’s now back in his favorite sport, and we’re still enjoying some gym time together. Our ‘fitspirational’ designs are heavily inspired by our own fitness journeys, as we know how much better we feel when we push ourselves.
When we started this endeavor, we knew we wanted to partner with a non-profit organization. Our mission with Work It Towels is to be a force of good. Last spring, we were shocked and saddened to learn a gunman had fired shots inside a local synagogue killing one woman and injuring three others. This tragedy has remained on our minds and the victims continue to remain in our hearts. We believe senseless acts are the result of poor mental health, and we want to do our part to help.
We sincerely appreciate the opportunity to partner with ADAA, and we look forward to a healthier future for anyone struggling with anxiety or depression.
