Have you experienced a serous emotionally or physically traumatic event series of events?

  • Including but not limited to military trauma, physical assault or other serious injury?
  • Can't stop thinking about the traumatic event(s)?
  • Can't sleep or have nightmares about the event(s)?

Dr. Murray Stein, at the University of California San Diego, is investigating the efficacy and safety of an experimental drug, losartan, as a treatment for individuals with Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Participation involves a minimum of 8 visits to UCSD including a physical exam, blood and urine tests, clinical interview, and questionnaires. You will be assigned by chance to take either losartan or a placebo (has no medication) once daily for 10 weeks.

Eligibility Criteria

If you are between the ages of 18-65 and not currently recieving medication treatment for PTSD, you may be eligible.
