Holiday stress is something that impacts each of us differently. For many, it is normal to experience anxiety, depression, and in some cases grief, during the holiday season.
During this 45-minute conversation, ADAA experts will discuss how best to manage holiday stress. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and will leave with simple tips and tools to help prioritize their mental health throughout the holiday season.
Maria G Fraire, PhD, is the program director of the OCD Institute for Children & Adolescents (OCDI Jr.) at McLean Hospital. She is a licensed clinical psychologist and specializes in the treatment of severe anxiety, OCD, and co-occurring disorders, specifically utilizing cognitive behavior therapy, and exposure and response prevention.
Dr. Amy Rapp is a licensed clinical psychologist and Assistant Professor of Clinical Medical Psychology (in Psychiatry) in the Department of Psychiatry at Columbia University/New York State Psychiatric Institute. She completed a Ph.D. in Clinical Science at UCLA, during which she was the recipient of a NIMH Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award Individual Predoctoral Fellowship. Currently, Dr. Rapp is affiliated with the Columbia University Center for OCD and Related Disorders where she also completed a three-year NIMH-funded postdoctoral research fellowship.
