This introductory webinar is designed for mental health professionals who want to better understand Pediatric Acute-onset Neuropsychiatric Syndrome (PANS) and PANDAS (Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorder Associated with Streptococcal Infections)- conditions that sit at the intersection of psychiatry, immunology, and pediatrics.
Therapists increasingly encounter children and teens with sudden-onset OCD, tics, restrictive eating, anxiety, and behavioral changes- often triggered by immune dysfunction. This webinar provides a foundational overview of the neuroimmune mechanisms involved in these disorders and provide clinicians with knowledge and help to support the child as well as the family system.
