Andrew M. Sherrill, Ph.D., is a clinical psychologist and Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Emory University School of Medicine. His clinical work focuses on evidence-based treatments for trauma- and anxiety-related disorders, namely exposure-based interventions. His research examines how emerging technologies (e.g., virtual reality, mobile health, and artificial intelligence) can improve the quality, accessibility, and dissemination of behavioral health care. Dr. Sherrill leads federally funded research on human-AI teaming and the responsible integration of AI into clinician training and mental health practice. He regularly trains clinicians nationally in evidence-based psychotherapy and is committed to ensuring that technological innovation strengthens, rather than replaces, human expertise, clinical judgment, and compassionate care.
