The Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA) is a nonprofit mental health organization dedicated to the prevention, treatment, and cure of anxiety, depression, and related disorders through education, research, and the dissemination of evidence-based resources. View ADAA's Mission/Vision Statement.

While ADAA is not an advocacy organization, we occasionally sign nonpartisan coalition letters and contribute to reports that align with our mission to improve mental health outcomes and access to high-quality, evidence-based care. These efforts reflect ADAA’s commitment to supporting policies informed by science, clinical expertise, and lived experience.

ADAA is a member of the Mental Health Liaison Group (MHLG), a nonpartisan coalition of more than 60 national organizations representing consumers, families, mental health and substance use providers, researchers, payers, and other stakeholders. MHLG works collaboratively to strengthen access to mental health and addiction care across the United States.

Through its coalition participation, ADAA supports federal policy efforts that promote:
•    Mental health prevention and early intervention
•    Access to evidence-based treatment and recovery supports
•    Integration of mental health and physical health care
•    Reduction of disparities related to the social determinants of health (SDOH)

Below is a selection of letters, papers, and reports that ADAA has signed or contributed to in partnership with coalition organizations.
