Aleiia and ADAA
"I remember attending my first ADAA conference in Miami with my father in 2004, when I was only 4 years old. While I wasn't old enough to present at this conference, I remember walking around and being fascinated by all the amazing posters. As I have grown up, I have always loved hearing the stories my father would tell me about attending the ADAA conferences and always hoped that I would get to be a part of them one day. My father has always referred to ADAA as his 'professional family', and now that I am a member, I am excited to be a part of this family as well. I am very eager to finally be able to take part in the annual ADAA conferences, learn from fellow researchers, and contribute my own research to the field of psychology, specifically in chronic pain, anxiety, and depression disorders."
