Dr. Alexandra Hamlet is a clinical psychologist in the Mood Disorders Center at the Child Mind Institute in New York City. She specializes in the treatment of mood and anxiety disorders for children, adolescents, and young adults, and is an expert in both cognitive-behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy. Dr. Hamlet has an interest in the impact of social media and technology on the teenage brain, and has given numerous presentations on the topic. She has collaborated with US News and World Report, Common Sense Media, Born This Way Foundation, and Project UROK. She is also interested in understanding and treating mental health issues in LGBTQ youth.
