Brittany Baker is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and an eclectic therapist with over 10 years of experience in mental health. Brittany founded her practice, Nix Baker Wellness and Therapy, in the North Shore of Chicago. She offers in-person therapy and coaching and provides telehealth options to adults and teens in Illinois, Texas, Arkansas, and Kansas. Brittany earned an MSW from the University of Southern California and a BA in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin. She trained at nationally ranked medical institutions in Houston, TX. She is an active member of NASW (National Association of Social Workers), ADAA (Anxiety and Depression Association of America), and Illinois Society of Clinical Social Work. She is passionate and energetic about her role as a therapist for "high-level thinkers," couples, and families concerned with ADHD, burnout, anxiety, OCD, and relationship challenges. Though Brittany is an eclectic therapist, she approaches her work with clients through an attachment-focused lens aimed at healing their relationships with themselves and others while shifting how her clients relate to their worlds. Brittany has completed intensive training in Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy (ERP) and Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE)- both highly effective treatments for those with OCD, Anxiety Disorders, Restrictive Eating Disorders, or anxious behaviors. Outside work, you will find Brittany with her two daughters and husband adventuring and exploring.
