Deborah C. Beidel, PhD, ABPP is a Trustee Chair and Pegasus Professor at the University of Central Florida. She is the Founder and Executive Director of UCF RESTORES, a clinical research center dedicated to changing how posttraumatic stress disorder is understood, diagnosed, and treated. Her research involves using innovative technologies to enhance the outcome of behavioral treatments for PTSD as well as to improve dissemination. Over the past 15 years, she has led teams of mental health professionals who have responded to a number of mass violence events, providing consultation and treatment to survivors, their families, first responders, and impacted communities.
