Katy Rothfelder, LPC-Associate is an advocate and cheerleader for compassionately tailored, evidence based practice including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and exposure response prevention (ERP). She commits to these empirically supported treatments with flexibility and curiosity for each client’s own journey, fitting treatment to address the values, cultures, and needs of each person. Further, Katy celebrates diversity and strives to center the needs of people in marginalized bodies, identities, and communities.
At current, Katy provides upwards of 15 hours a week in volunteer service to numerous organizations such as the International OCD Foundation and OCD Texas, The Association for Contextual Behavioral Sciences, and the Psychologists Off the Clock podcast. She believes advocacy to be a core part of her work as a clinician, and is committed to giving back to her community through dissemination of evidence-based treatments and increasing access to care.
