Dr. Kimberlye Dean is a postdoctoral clinical research fellow in the Community Psychiatry PRIDE at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and at Harvard Medical School (HMS). Dr. Dean’s clinical and research interests include examining the influence of multicultural factors on dually diagnosed clients with substance abuse and anxiety-related disorders—particularly among racially and culturally diverse populations. Dr. Dean’s research is focused on marginalized communities and aims to better understand barriers to evidence-based treatment for these populations, improve quality and access to mental health care, and to further advance and disseminate education for best practice evidence-based cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) among these communities.
