Sohye Kim, PhD, is Assistant Professor of Psychiatry, Pediatrics, and Obstetrics and Gynecology at University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School. She is a clinical psychologist with subspecialty expertise in perinatal and infant mental health. Her research and clinical work have focused on parents and infants during the perinatal period, as she recognizes this period as a critical time during which identification of at-risk individuals and intervention to mitigate risks can be highly effective, with far-reaching implications. She is the Director of the UMass Baby Brain Lab where she follows mothers and infants through the first postpartum year to study perinatal factors that influence the trajectory of the infant's developing brain. She serves as an Attending Clinical Psychologist at UMass Outpatient Psychiatry and is a Co-Chair of Women’s Mental Health SIG at ADAA.
