In the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, the term social anxiety has been thrown around as a catchall for the discomfort many felt as restrictions lifted and we began to resume our lives. However, it too can oversimplify the greater intensity of anxiety, and associated impact, experienced by those with Social Anxiety Disorder.

By the age of 8 or 9, kids know we can’t fix everything.  They understand that catastrophes happen sometimes. We still need to help them feel safe. That safety comes from our love and confidence in them. 
For the second year in a row, ADAA member David H. Rosmarin, PhD, ABPP, ran a fundraising campaign in conjunction with his Philadelphia marathon, raising a total of over $5,000 for ADAA. Dr. Rosmarin is raising awareness about depression and sat down with ADAA to talk about this mental health illness.

Tinnitus is a common neurological condition in which a person hears internal sounds which have no external source. This webinar incorporates concepts and strategies from two therapies in the CBT family, which have been shown to significantly reduce tinnitus distress: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT).  
As the Executive Director of ADAA, I am always thrilled when we realize our work is making a difference and that we are reaching farther and wider. So, when the Hadassah Foundation, a mental health organization in Cameroon, contacted ADAA with a request to access our free member-created, publicly available, evidence-based resources, we not only acquiesced, we collaborated.
