This recorded presentation features Dr. Dawn Huebner, author of What to Do When You Worry Too Much: A Kid's Guide to Overcoming Anxiety (second edition), and 19 other books for kids. The original version of the book came out close to 20 years ago, selling over a million copies in 25 languages. What to Do When You Worry Too Much (first and second editions) guides children and their parents through the cognitive-behavioral techniques (CBT) used in the treatment of anxiety.

Written with warmth and humor, the book educates, motivates, and empowers 6-12-year-olds to loosen the grip of anxiety by questioning, talking back to, and disobeying Worry. Strategically placed drawing and writing activities keep young readers engaged while helping them customize and internalize skills.

This Ask the Author Q & A was moderated by Lynne Siqueland, PhD, and includes Dr. Huebner's guidance on how to maximize the use of the new edition, and how to respond more effectively to worry.
