Anxiety is a common experience among children of all ages, but it can manifest in different ways depending on the individual.  Children may grapple with stress, worry, and fear leading to avoidance, reassurance seeking, and physical symptoms that can affect their functioning. In this webinar, we will provide helpful information about anxiety and explore how parents can most effectively support their student while letting them know it's ok not to be ok.

Elizabeth DuPont Spencer LCSW-C ADAA

Elizabeth DuPont Spencer, LCSW-C, is a licensed clinical social worker and board-approved supervisor with 30 years of experience in private practice. She specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, using exposure and response prevention to treat anxiety disorders, OCD, and depression, with clients ranging from children to adults. As a Founding Clinical Fellow of the Anxiety and Depression Association of America, Elizabeth received the 2012 Clinician Outreach Award and the 2017 Clinician of Distinction Award. Elizabeth holds degrees from Columbia University and the University of Maryland's School of Social Work, with additional clinical training completed at the National Institutes of Health and the Catholic University of America.

Kimberly Morrow, LCSW

Kimberly Morrow is a licensed clinical social worker in private practice in Erie, Pennsylvania. Graduating from Memphis State University with a Master’s in Psychology and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a Master’s in Social Work, Kimberly has been specializing in treating people with anxiety and OCD for over 25 years and teaching other professionals how to treat anxiety for over 15 years. Kimberly is a graduate of the International Obsessive Compulsive Foundation’s Behavior Therapy Institute. She is a board member of the Obsessive Compulsive Foundation of Western Pennsylvania and an active member of the Anxiety and Depression Association of America, serving on many committees. She is the 2012 recipient of the Clinician Outreach Award and the 2015 Member of Distinction Award from the Anxiety and Depression Association of America.
