ADAA understands that for many in our public community the current coronavirus outbreak is triggering increased anxiety - especially with such heightened media attention.

In response, we have created this resource page - updated daily - to provide helpful tips and strategies from our ADAA mental health professionals - as well as personal stories of triumph - to help you or a loved one struggling with anxiety around the coronavirus or with general health anxiety concerns.

The ADAA blog posts and videos contain information you need to know about the virus and helpful tips about how to mitigate against increased anxiety.

We are also including below current news articles and content from our partner and from health organizations that provide helpful information and expert tips for managing anxiety during this difficult period.

ADAA will also share this content on our Facebook and Twitter communities.

We encourage you to share these resources with family, friends and colleagues.  If you have a resource you would like us to share here, please reach out to information@adaa.org

Thank you and stay well!

April 2020 - Important Charitable Tax Information

The CARES Act encourages individuals to contribute to churches and charitable organizations in 2020 by relaxing some of the limitations on charitable contributions:

• Allowing a deduction of up to $300 of cash contributions, whether or not the taxpayer itemizes deductions
• Suspending the 50% limitation on individuals, increasing to 25% the 10% limitation on corporations, and increasing to 25% the 15% limitation on food inventory

ADAA’s Board of Directors extends a heartfelt thank you to all ADAA members and supporters for their extraordinary work and effort during the last few months. We invite you to watch this special message of thanks.  A key component of ADAA’s mission has always been to provide access to evidence-based research and treatment information to the public at no cost. Now more than ever, as COVID-19 takes a toll on the world’s mental health, these resources are critical.  ADAA members have lent their expertise in a huge way by hosting webinars, authoring blog posts, and providing useful tips and information in numerous media placements. ADAA is extremely grateful for our members commitment to and support of our mission.
