**Accompanying Guest- This is a social guest (not a scientific colleague) that can attend social/meal functions with the registered attendee.  Guests cannot register for CE/CMEs. Accompanying Guests are also permitted in scientific sessions, as space permits.  An accompanying guest pass gives the social guest access to: the opening reception, breakfast on Friday-Sunday, and the Saturday evening Awards Celebration and Closing Reception.  

TMonuments by Moonlight Tour- This is an optional, chartered tour of some of the most famous Washington, DC, monuments. Board an Old Town Trolley at 7 pm on Friday, April 14, for a 2.5-hour narrated tour that showcases the Capitol, Washington Monument, the Lincoln, Jefferson, and FDR memorials, and more. Seats are limited.   

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be received in writing  to [email protected] no later than February 9, 2023, to be eligible for a full refund, less administrative fees. For Trainees, Postdocs, Residents, Students, Research Assistants, and international attendees from developing countries, an administrative fee of $50 applies. For all other registrants, an administrative fee of $100 applies. After February 9, 2023, no refunds will be issued.

What is a “virtual” event? +

A virtual event is an event that you can attend through your personal computer, mobile device, or tablet from the comfort and convenience of your home or office.

What does “on-demand” mean? +

“On-demand” means that the session or event was pre-recorded and available to watch at any time. On August 6, 2020, the APA 2020 Virtual Convention will open to registrants with hundreds of sessions ready to watch on-demand. There will be some events and trainings that will be “live” and available on specific days and at specific times. Our live Main Stage events, keynote speeches, and Neal Miller and Master Lectures on Science will be shown at a certain time and then available on-demand.

When will I receive the instructions for attending the virtual event? +

All attendees who have registered for APA 2020 Virtual will receive instructions and login details via the email you used to register on August 5, 2020. People who register on or after August 5 will receive instructions shortly after they register.

What do I need to access APA 2020 Virtual? +

You can access the event via desktop or laptop computer, mobile phone, or tablet. We recommend you update your device systems and internet browsers. Click here to run a quick system check. It will let you know if there are any issues.

How do I create or update my member profile? +

Go to Member Login (located at the top right corner of the ADAA website). Use your login username and password to log in. Click on “Profile” and update information as necessary. Please remember to save your changes before exiting the page.

How can I keep my profile information private from my online listing? +

To keep your email, phone number, or other profile information private you may change settings to limit access. Once logged in, go to the profile tab and change the open padlock icon next to any field to the “person” icon, and only your ADAA colleagues will that field. Or, you may select the locked icon which makes the information visible only to you and the ADAA administrators.

How do I access my member benefits? +

You may view your member benefits here, including special offers from ADAA or additional products/services. Some other benefits include listing your practice on ADAA's Find Your Therapist Directory, discounts on conference registration rates, and complimentary CE/CME credit for ADAA webinars.

Additional helpful information on member benefits can be found in the Quick Links drop down menu located in the menu bar at the top of your screen when logged into your member profile.

How do I renew my ADAA membership? +

Your membership renewal is due on January 1 each year. You will receive renewal reminder emails beginning approximately 30 days prior to the renewal date. When you log into your member profile you will be prompted to renew. Follow the links to renew your membership. To change or upgrade your membership type please email ADAA.

Alternatively, you may contact [email protected] to schedule a phone call to renew your membership. Note: phone renewals will be processed during business hours from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm ET. For your credit card security, please do not leave payment information by voicemail or include in an email.

You may set your account to auto-renew. An email notification will be sent approximately 2 weeks prior to processing the payment. Should you need to update credit card information for an auto-renewal please contact ADAA.

ADAA no longer mails hard copies. If you require a PDF copy of your membership dues invoice, please email ADAA.

ADAA offers a variety of professional education webinars in both a live and On Demand format. Many professional webinars are CE/CME eligible.

While registration is required, most ADAA webinars* are offered at no cost to members. Additionally, CE/CME credits are provided to members at no charge. Please make sure you are logged in when registering to ensure you receive this member benefit.

*Some ADAA virtual events like the Fall Forum or specific webinar series require a registration fee. These fees are discounted for ADAA members.

The ADAA website has more than 11,000,000 unique visitors annually. We are delighted to list member publications on the ADAA Books page. If you sell your book on Amazon, please let us know as ADAA links to the site and obtains a small donation from Amazon for every book sale purchased through their site. Please email the information about your book (with the title, publication date, publisher name, link to purchase, and a JPG/PNG of the book cover).
